Oomphit

One photo becomes a ready-to-post Vinted listing, with a little extra oomph.

the friction

The problem

People who resell clothes list dozens of pieces, and each one needs good photos, a title, a description and a fair price. It is repetitive work, and it is easy to undersell something by rushing it.

Oomphit takes a photo of a piece and turns it into a listing you can post straight to Vinted, then helps keep older listings fresh so good things keep moving.

the flow

What it does

  • AI-generated contentText or suggestions written by an AI model.
  • Accounts & sign-inPeople sign up, log in and reset their password.
  • Image uploadsUpload, resize and order photos and files.
  • Dashboard & reportsKey numbers and lists at a glance.
  • AnalyticsSee how people find and use the site.
the thinking

Decisions along the way

  1. i thought aboutMost sellers start with a photo, not a description.

so i builtOne photo is enough: the AI suggests a title, description, photo tips and a price, and you edit it until it sounds like you.

  2. i thought aboutA messy bedroom background makes a nice piece look tired.

so i builtPhoto touch-ups and background removal run in the browser, and iPhone HEIC photos are converted on the way in.

  3. i thought aboutListings go stale and slip down the feed.

so i builtPieces are saved with their photos, so an old item can be relisted in one tap with a fresh description.

  4. i thought aboutAI output can be unpredictable.

so i builtThe model is asked for structured output that is checked before it is shown, so a broken response never reaches the user.

what's next

What I'd do next

  • Post to more marketplaces than Vinted.
  • Bulk mode for listing a whole haul at once.
